नवरात्रि (Navratri) मुख्य रूप साल में 3 बार पड़ती हैं। जिनमें पहला चैत्र नवरात्रि (Chaitra Navratri 2024), दूसरा शारदीय नवरात्रि (Shardiya Navratri 2024) और तीसरा गुप्त नवरात्रि (Gupt Navratri 2024) या अषाढ़ नवरात्रि (Ashadh Gupt Navratri 2024) है। इनमें चैत्र और शारदीय नवरात्रि मुख्य रूप से मनाई जाती है।

कैसे हुई नवरात्रि की शुरुआत – Stroy Behind Navratri
मान्यता है कि सर्वप्रथम श्रीरामचंद्रजी ने शारदीय नवरात्रि (Shardiya Navratri) की शुरुआत की थी। उन्होंने 9 दिन तक समुद्र तट पर पूजा की थी और उसके बाद 10वें दिन लंका विजय के लिए प्रस्थान किया और विजय प्राप्त की।
नवरात्रि पर कलश स्थापना की सामाग्री – Kalash Sthapana Samagri For Navratri
- Kalash sthapana ki samagri के लिए एक मिट्टी का कलश उपयोग करें। अगर यह न मिल पाए तो स्टील, तांबा, पीतल किसी भी धातु के लोटे का उपयोग कर सकते हैं।
- कलश स्थापना के लिए कलश (लोटा) में डालने के लिए जल, गंगा जल रख लें।
- इसके अलावा साफ मिट्टी, थाली, कटोरी, दूर्वा (दूब घास), इत्र, चन्दन, चौकी, लाल वस्त्र, रूई, नारियल, चावल, इलायची, सुपारी, रोली, मौली, शक्कर, जौ, धूप, दीप, फूल, नैवेद्य, यज्ञोपवीत, अबीर, गुलाल, केसर, सिन्दूर, लौंग, पान, सिंगार सामग्री, शुद्ध घी, वस्त्र, आभूषण, बिल्ब पत्र या आम के पत्ते, दूध, दही, गंगाजल, शहद आदि की आवश्यकता पड़ेगी।

Navratri में Ghat Sthapana का बहुत अधिक महत्व है। तो आइय़े जानते हैं कलश स्थापना कैसे करते हैं – Kalash Sthapana kaise karte hai…
- सबसे पहले सुबह उठ कर नहा धोकर पूजा घर व पूरे घऱ का शुद्धिकरण कर लें।
- इसके पश्चात मां दुर्गा के बाईं ओर सफेद वस्त्र पर 9 कोष्ठक नौ ग्रह के लिए बनाएं और लाल वस्त्र पर 16 कोष्ठक षौडशामृत के लिए बना लें।
- अब जौ बोने के लिए एक छिछला पात्र लें। जिससे कि पात्र कलश रखने के बाद भी आसपास जगह रहे।
- प्याली में जौ बो दें। Navratri me jav (jao) kaise ugae के लिये पहले मिट्टी की एक परत बिछाएं जौ बोए फिर उसके ऊपर दूसरी परत बिछाए औऱ थोड़े पानी का छिड़काव कर दें। ध्यान रहे बीच में कलश रखने के लिये जगह रहे।
- कलश तैयार करें। कलश पर स्वस्तिक बनाएं, मौली बांधें। अब कलश को थोड़े गंगाजल और शुद्ध जल से पूरा भर दें। कलश में साबुत सुपारी, फूल और दूर्वा इत्र, पंचरत्न तथा सिक्का डालें।
- अब कलश में आम के पत्ते डालें। पत्ते इस प्रकार डालें कि वह बाहर कि तरफ दिखें।
- घट में ढक्कन लगा दें। ढक्कन में अक्षत यानी साबुत चावल भर दें।
- नारियल को लाल कपड़े में लपेटकर मौली बांध कर कलश पर रखें।
- इस दौरान मंत्र का जप करें
“अधोमुखं शत्रु विवर्धनाय,ऊर्ध्वस्य वस्त्रं बहुरोग वृध्यै।
प्राचीमुखं वित विनाशनाय,तस्तमात् शुभं संमुख्यं नारीकेलं”।
- नारियल को इस कलश पर रखें कि नारियल का मुंह आपकी तरफ हो।
- मुंह ऊपर की तरफ होने से रोग बढ़ता है। नीचे की तरफ हो तो शत्रु बढ़ाते हैं।
- पूर्व की ओर हो तो धन नष्ट होता है।
- जो पेड़ से जु़ड़ा होता है वह नारियल का मुंह होता है।
- अब यह कलश जौ के पात्र के बीच में रख दें।
- अब देवी- देवताओं का आह्वान करते हुए प्रार्थना करें कि ‘हे समस्त देवी-देवता, आप सभी 9 दिन के लिए कृपया कलश में विराजमान हों।’
- आह्वान करने के बाद ये मानते हुए कि सभी देवतागण कलश में विराजमान हैं, पूजा करें।
- घट को टीका करें, अक्षत चढ़ाएं।
- फूलमाला अर्पित करें, इत्र अर्पित करें, नैवेद्य यानी फल-मिठाई आदि अर्पित करें।
- घट स्थापना या कलश स्थापना के बाद देवी मां की चौकी स्थापित करें।
- कलश स्थापना से पहले इस मंत्र का जाप करें
ॐ भूरसि भूमिरस्यदितिरसि विश्वधाया विश्वस्य भुवनस्य
धरत्री।
पृथिवीं यच्छ पृथिवीं द्रीं ह पृथिवीं मा हि सीः।।
– देवी-देवताओं का कलश में आवाहन के लिये इस मंत्र का जप करें
ॐ भूर्भुवःस्वःभो वरुण! इहागच्छ, इह तिष्ठ, स्थापयामि, पूजयामि, मम पूजां गृहाण।ओम अपां पतये वरुणाय नमः

नवरात्रि Navratri क्यों मनाई जाती है : पहला कारण – Story of Navratri
पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार महिषासुर (Mahishasura) नाम का एक राक्षस था जिसने तप करके ब्रह्माजी को प्रसन्न कर एक वरदान प्राप्त कर लिया। वरदान यह था कि उसे कोई देव-दानव या पृथ्वी पर रहने वाला कोई भी मनुष्य न मार सके। लेकिन वरदान मिलने के बाद वह बहुत निर्दयी हो गया और तीनो लोकों में आतंक माचने लगा। उसके आतंक से परेशान होकर देवी-देवताओं ने ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, महेश के साथ मिलकर माँ शक्ति के रूप में दुर्गा को जन्म दिया।
माँ दुर्गा (Maa Durga) और महिषासुर के बीच नौ दिनों तक भयंकर युद्ध हुआ और दसवें दिन दुर्गा माता ने महिषासुर का वध कर दिया। इस दिन को अच्छाई पर बुराई की जीत के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
शारदीय नवरात्रि (Shardiya Navratri) क्यों मनाया जाता है : दूसरी कारण
ऐसी मान्यता है कि Shardiya Navratri की शुरुआत भगवान राम ने की थी। उन्होंने सबसे पहले रामेश्वरम (Rameswaram) में समुद्र के किनारे 9 दिन मां शक्ति की पूजा की, जिसके बाद उन्होंने लंका पर जीत हासिल की। यही वजह है कि शारदीय नवरात्रि में नौ दिनों तक दुर्गा मां की पूजा के बाद दसवें दिन Dussehra मनाया जाता है।

कलश स्थापना में नारियल कैसे रखे?
नवरात्रि में कलश स्थापना के लिए कलश में नारियल रखते हैं। कलश में नारियल रखने के कई मायने होते हैं। मान्यता है कि नारियल का मुख ऊपर की तरफ रखने से रोग बढ़ते हैं। पूर्व की तरफ मुख रखने से धन का विनाश होता है। इसलिए नारियल का मुख हमेशा अपनी तरफ और कलश स्थापना माता रानी के दाहिने तरफ करनी चाहिए।
कलश के नीचे क्या रखना चाहिए?
वहीं, कलश या घट स्थापना के लिए कलश या लोटा (पात्र) के नीचे अक्षत (चावल) रखा जाता है। नवरात्रि के आखिरी दिन (Last day of Navratri) कलश हटाने के बाद चावल को घर के हर कोने में छिड़कने की मान्यता है।
कलश के अंदर क्या डाला जाता है?
कलश स्थापना के दौरान पात्र में सिक्का, हल्दी, सुपारी, अक्षत, पान, फूल और इलायची डाल सकते हैं। फिर पांच आम के पत्ते रखें। इसके बाद लाल चुनरी में नारियल लपेट कलश के ऊपर रख दें।
पूजा के बाद नारियल का क्या करना चाहिए?
पूजा में चढ़ाएं गए नारियल को अलग अलग तरह से प्रयोग किया जा सकता है। कही पर कलश पर चढ़ाए गए नारियल को तोड़कर प्रसाद के रूप में वितरित किया जाता है तो कही विसर्जित कर दिया जाता है।
नवरात्रि के बाद जवारे का क्या करें?
नवरात्रि सम्पन्न होने के बाद ही जवारे को मिट्टी के बर्तन से बाहर निकाल कुछ जवारे पूजा स्थल पर व कुछ जवारे धन के स्थान पर रखने चाहिए जैसे घर में बरकत बनी रहे। इसके अलावा एक या दो जवारे अपनी पर्स में भी रखने चाहिए।
